Time Armour — Terms of Service
Effective Date: 10/01/2026 Last Updated: 10/01/2026
1. Overview and Acceptance
Time Armour ("Time Armour", "we", "us", or "our") operates this website (timearmour.com) and online store to provide precision-cut protective film products and related services.
By accessing, browsing, purchasing from, or otherwise using our website or services, you ("you", "your", or "Customer") agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). These Terms form a legally binding contract between you and Time Armour.
If you do not agree with these Terms, you must not use our website or services.
If you are using our services on behalf of a business or another person, you represent that you have the authority to bind that party to these Terms.
2. Definitions
In these Terms:
- "Customer Watch" means a timepiece owned by, or for which the Customer is responsible, that is sent or delivered to Time Armour for the purpose of receiving an Installation Service.
- "Installation Service" or "Service" means the application of TPU protective film to a Customer Watch by Time Armour.
- "Kit" means a precision-cut TPU protective film product sold by Time Armour for self-installation by the Customer.
- "Mail-In Service" means an Installation Service where the Customer ships the Customer Watch to Time Armour and Time Armour ships it back after the Service is complete.
- "In-Person Service" means an Installation Service where the Customer drops off and collects the Customer Watch in person at Time Armour's premises or designated location.
3. Products and Use (Kits)
Time Armour Kits are precision-cut protective films designed for specific watch models.
Kits must be installed strictly in accordance with the online instructions. Improper installation may affect performance and is not considered a product defect.
Time Armour Kits are designed to help protect surfaces but do not make a watch scratch-proof or impact-proof.
TPU film is a physical material with inherent limitations and cannot conform perfectly to all watch surfaces. On watches with aggressive curves, double-curved surfaces, sharp transitions, complex case geometries, or unusual bracelet configurations, the installed film may exhibit slight visible imperfections such as edge visibility, micro-bubbles, or minor surface variation, particularly under direct or angled lighting. These characteristics are inherent to the material and do not constitute a product defect.
Each Kit includes additional replacement pieces in case any individual piece is damaged or misaligned during installation, or wears prematurely with use over time.
The Customer should ensure the watch is thoroughly cleaned before installation. Pre-installation cleanliness significantly affects film adhesion and long-term performance. Even small amounts of dirt, oil, dust, or surface contamination at the time of installation can substantially reduce the longevity of the installed film. Time Armour does not accept responsibility for reduced film longevity arising from the Customer Watch being insufficiently clean at the time of self-installation.
Time Armour does not accept responsibility for damage to any watch resulting from self-installation, incorrect application, attempted removal of the film by the Customer, or failure to follow the provided instructions.
Once installed, ongoing care of the film is the responsibility of the Customer. The Customer should avoid contact with chemicals, abrasive substances, or excessive loose cloth exposure, and handle the watch with reasonable care. Damage or reduced longevity of the film arising from Customer use, mishandling, accident, exposure to chemicals or extreme temperatures, modification, or attempted removal of the film after installation is not considered a product defect. Nothing in this paragraph excludes or limits the Customer's rights under the Australian Consumer Law.
4. Orders, Pricing, and Payments
All prices are listed in Australian dollars (AUD) unless otherwise stated and include GST where applicable.
We reserve the right to change prices, product availability, or specifications at any time without notice. Changes will not affect orders that have already been accepted.
An order is considered accepted once payment has been successfully processed and an order confirmation has been issued.
We reserve the right to refuse or cancel any order, including due to pricing errors, stock availability, or suspected fraudulent activity. If payment has already been made and an order is cancelled, a refund will be issued to the original payment method.
5. Shipping and Delivery (Kits)
Shipping and delivery of Kits are governed by our Shipping Policy, which forms part of these Terms.
Delivery timeframes are estimates only. We are not responsible for delays caused by events outside our reasonable control, including carrier delays, weather events, customs processing, or postal disruptions.
Risk in any Kit passes to the Customer upon delivery of the Kit to the Customer's nominated shipping address. Title in any Kit passes to the Customer upon receipt of full payment by Time Armour.
6. Installation Services
This section governs paid Installation Services on Customer Watches. By booking an Installation Service, the Customer agrees to the additional terms in this section.
6.1 Service Booking and Acceptance
A booking is considered accepted once payment has been successfully processed and a service confirmation has been issued.
Time Armour reserves the right to refuse or cancel any Service booking at its discretion. If a booking is cancelled by Time Armour and payment has already been made, a refund will be issued.
6.2 Customer Obligations
By booking an Installation Service, the Customer represents and warrants that:
- The Customer Watch is owned by the Customer, or the Customer has the legal right and authority to submit it for the Service.
- The declared value of the Customer Watch provided to Time Armour is true and accurate.
- The Customer Watch is not stolen, fraudulently obtained, or subject to any pending legal claim.
- The Customer has read and understood these Terms and any Service-specific information provided.
The Customer is responsible for providing accurate booking information, including watch make, model, reference number, and declared value.
6.3 Watch Authentication and Condition Documentation
Time Armour does not act as an authenticator of Customer Watches and accepts no responsibility for verifying the authenticity, provenance, or legal status of any watch submitted for Service.
On receipt of a Customer Watch (whether by mail or in person), Time Armour will document the condition of the watch with timestamped photographs. The Customer will be asked to confirm that the documented condition accurately reflects the condition of the watch as sent or delivered, before the Service begins.
The Customer's confirmation of condition (whether via the Mail-In confirmation form or in-person sign-off) constitutes the agreed baseline against which any subsequent claim of damage will be assessed.
6.4 Inbound Shipping (Mail-In)
For Mail-In Services, the Customer is responsible for arranging and paying for insured tracked shipping of the Customer Watch to Time Armour, with insurance equal to or greater than the declared value of the Customer Watch.
Risk in the Customer Watch remains with the Customer until Time Armour signs for delivery of the package.
Time Armour reserves the right to refuse delivery of any package that arrives visibly damaged in a manner suggesting possible damage to contents, without tracking, or from an address that does not match the booking, and to require the Customer to arrange compliant shipping at their own cost.
6.5 Service Standards and Realistic Expectations
Installation Services are performed with reasonable care and skill.
The Customer acknowledges and accepts that:
- TPU protective film is designed to reduce surface damage from light contact, but does not make a watch scratch-proof or impact-proof.
- TPU film is a physical material with inherent limitations and cannot conform perfectly to all surface geometries. Aggressive curves, double-curved surfaces, sharp transitions, complex case shapes, applied indices, and unusual bracelet configurations may result in slight visible imperfections such as edge visibility, micro-bubbles, or minor surface variation. These characteristics are inherent to the material and do not constitute a defect.
- The visibility of the installed film, including edges and surface texture, varies with lighting conditions and viewing angle. Time Armour does not warrant that the film will be invisible to all observers under all lighting conditions or from all viewing angles.
- The Service does not alter the inherent limitations of protective films.
- The longevity of the installed film is significantly affected by the cleanliness of the Customer Watch at the time of installation. While Time Armour will clean and prepare the surface as part of the Service, pre-existing oils, dirt, or contamination embedded in the watch may reduce long-term adhesion and durability. Time Armour recommends that Customers ensure the Customer Watch is in a reasonably clean condition before sending or delivering it for Service.
Each Installation Service includes a complementary backup Kit for the same watch model. The backup Kit allows the Customer to replace individual film pieces in the future if any single piece becomes worn, damaged, or otherwise compromised, without requiring a new full Service. Use of the backup Kit constitutes self-installation and is governed by the same terms applicable to Kit use under section 3.
6.6 Service Warranty and Aftercare
Time Armour warrants that the Service will be performed with reasonable care and skill in accordance with these Terms.
If a defect in the installation arises within thirty (30) days of the Customer receiving the Customer Watch back, Time Armour will, at its discretion, re-perform the Service at no charge or refund the Service fee.
This warranty does not cover:
- Normal wear and tear of the film arising from regular use over time
- Accelerated wear caused by repeated friction with cloths, sleeves, fabrics, or other surfaces during normal wear
- Damage caused by Customer use, mishandling, or accident after the Service
- Damage caused by exposure to chemicals, solvents, or extreme temperatures
- Issues arising from Customer modification or attempted removal of the film
- Pre-existing conditions of the Customer Watch that were not caused by the Service
- Reduced longevity arising from inadequate cleanliness of the Customer Watch at the time of installation
The Customer is responsible for the ongoing care of the film, including avoiding contact with chemicals, abrasive substances, or excessive loose cloth exposure, and reasonable handling.
Nothing in this clause excludes or limits the Customer's rights under the Australian Consumer Law.
6.7 Outbound Shipping (Mail-In)
For Mail-In Services, Time Armour will arrange insured tracked return shipping of the Customer Watch to the Customer, with insurance equal to the declared value (subject to maximums in clause 6.12).
Risk in the Customer Watch passes back to the Customer upon delivery confirmation by the carrier.
The Customer must inspect the Customer Watch upon receipt and notify Time Armour of any apparent damage or discrepancy within seven (7) days. Failure to notify within this period will be deemed acceptance of the condition of the Customer Watch as delivered.
6.8 In-Person Drop-Off and Collection
For In-Person Services, the Customer must produce valid government-issued photo identification at both drop-off and collection.
Collection of a Customer Watch by any party other than the Customer requires prior written authorisation from the Customer and identification of the collecting party.
The Customer must inspect the Customer Watch at the time of collection. Signing the handover form constitutes acceptance of the condition of the Customer Watch at that time.
6.9 Cancellation and Rescheduling
The Customer may cancel a booking at no charge prior to dispatching or delivering the Customer Watch to Time Armour. After Time Armour has received the Customer Watch, cancellation may be subject to a return shipping fee.
Time Armour may reschedule a booking with reasonable notice in the event of equipment failure, illness, or other circumstances that prevent the Service being performed as planned.
After payment of a Service deposit, Time Armour will contact the Customer at the registered email address within 24 hours with scheduling details or next-step instructions. The Customer must respond within fourteen (14) days of that communication being sent.
If the Customer does not respond within fourteen (14) days, the booking will be treated as cancelled by the Customer and the deposit will be forfeited. A forfeited deposit is non-refundable and is retained by Time Armour to compensate for reserved capacity and administrative costs.
For clarity, the no-charge cancellation right described above applies where the Customer actively notifies Time Armour of a cancellation before dispatching or delivering the Customer Watch. It does not apply where the Customer fails to respond within the fourteen (14) day period.
6.10 Abandoned Watches
If a Customer Watch remains in Time Armour's possession for more than ninety (90) days after the Service is complete, and despite reasonable attempts by Time Armour to contact the Customer (a minimum of three notices to the Customer's registered email address and any telephone number provided), the Customer Watch will be deemed abandoned.
Time Armour reserves the right to deal with abandoned Customer Watches in any manner permitted by law, including but not limited to returning them by registered post to the address on file at the Customer's cost, holding them in storage subject to a daily storage fee, or treating them in accordance with applicable abandoned goods legislation.
6.11 Risk and Insurance During Service
While a Customer Watch is in Time Armour's possession, Time Armour holds limited liability insurance for damage caused by Time Armour during the Service, subject to the policy terms and limits in force at the time.
Time Armour does not provide cover equivalent to a comprehensive valuables insurance policy and strongly recommends that Customers maintain their own valuables insurance for the duration of the Service.
In the event of damage caused by Time Armour during the Service, liability is limited to the lesser of: (a) the actual repair or replacement cost as determined by an independent qualified watchmaker; (b) the declared value of the Customer Watch; or (c) the maximum amount payable under Time Armour's insurance policy in force at the time.
6.12 Maximum Watch Value
Time Armour accepts Customer Watches up to a declared value of $30,000 AUD per watch under the standard Service.
Customer Watches with a declared value above this amount may be accepted by special arrangement, subject to additional terms, fees, and confirmation of insurance coverage. Customers are required to disclose any watch with a declared value above the standard limit at the time of booking.
Failure to accurately declare the value of a Customer Watch may result in Time Armour declining to perform the Service, and any liability for damage will be limited to the standard maximum.
6.13 Photography and Marketing Use
By booking a Service, the Customer grants Time Armour permission to take photographs of the Customer Watch for the purposes of internal documentation, quality control, and insurance records.
Time Armour may also use anonymised photographs of installed film on Customer Watches (without Customer name, watch serial number, or other identifying information) for marketing purposes including social media, website, and promotional materials, unless the Customer specifically opts out at the time of booking or in writing prior to the Service.
6.14 Film Removal
Time Armour offers professional film removal as a separate paid service.
The Customer acknowledges that, while removal is performed with reasonable care, removal of any adhesive film carries a small inherent risk of residue or, in rare cases, surface marking. Time Armour does not warrant that removal will leave no trace, and does not accept liability for surface marks resulting from removal of film that has been in place for an extended period or under unusual conditions.
Self-removal of Time Armour film by the Customer is at the Customer's own risk and voids any remaining Service warranty.
6.15 Safety Net (Kit-to-Service Conversion)
A Customer who has purchased a Kit and is unable or unwilling to complete the installation may, within thirty (30) days of the Kit purchase, redeem the Kit cost as credit toward an Installation Service of the same model.
The Customer Watch must be made available to Time Armour (by Mail-In or In-Person) within the thirty (30) day window. The Customer is responsible for providing the unused or partially used Kit at the appointment. If the Kit is no longer usable, a replacement Kit will be supplied at material cost only.
This safety net does not constitute a refund of the Kit. Customers seeking a refund of an unused Kit should refer to our Return & Refund Policy.
7. Returns and Refunds
Returns and refunds are governed by our Return & Refund Policy, which forms part of these Terms.
Nothing in these Terms excludes, restricts, or modifies any rights the Customer has under the Australian Consumer Law that cannot be excluded, restricted, or modified.
8. Complaints Procedure
If the Customer is dissatisfied with any aspect of a product or Service, the Customer should raise the issue with Time Armour in writing at info@timearmour.com (or such other email address as Time Armour may notify from time to time).
Time Armour will acknowledge receipt of the complaint within five (5) business days and will endeavour to provide a substantive response or resolution within twenty-one (21) days.
Where a complaint cannot be resolved directly between the Customer and Time Armour, the Customer may refer the matter to NSW Fair Trading or any other applicable consumer protection body.
9. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Time Armour is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive loss or damage arising from the use or misuse of any product or service, including but not limited to loss of profits, loss of use, loss of data, or loss of business opportunity.
Where Time Armour's liability cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law, Time Armour's liability is limited, at its option, to one or more of the following:
- Replacement of the product
- Repair of the product
- Re-supply of the service
- Refund of the purchase price or service fee
Nothing in these Terms is intended to exclude any liability that cannot be excluded by law, including liability arising from death or personal injury caused by negligence.
10. Indemnity
The Customer agrees to indemnify and hold harmless Time Armour, its directors, officers, employees, contractors, and agents from any loss, damage, cost, or expense (including reasonable legal costs) arising from:
- The Customer's breach of these Terms
- Any false or misleading statement made by the Customer regarding ownership, value, or status of any Customer Watch
- Any third-party claim arising from the Customer's use of any product or service supplied by Time Armour
11. Intellectual Property
All content on the Time Armour website and in Time Armour materials, including but not limited to logos, designs, product templates, images, text, branding, and the precision-cut film patterns themselves, is the intellectual property of Time Armour and may not be reproduced, copied, distributed, or used without prior written permission from Time Armour.
Reverse engineering, copying, or commercial use of Time Armour's film templates is strictly prohibited.
12. Privacy
Time Armour's collection, use, and storage of personal information is governed by our Privacy Policy, which forms part of these Terms.
13. Force Majeure
Time Armour is not liable for any failure or delay in performing its obligations under these Terms to the extent that such failure or delay is caused by circumstances beyond its reasonable control, including but not limited to natural disasters, acts of government, pandemics, postal or carrier disruptions, or supplier failures.
14. Severability
If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid, illegal, or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect. The invalid provision will be modified to the minimum extent necessary to make it valid and enforceable, while preserving its original intent as far as possible.
15. Changes to These Terms
Time Armour may update or modify these Terms from time to time. The current version will always be available on the Time Armour website with a "Last Updated" date.
Continued use of the website or services after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms. For Customers with active bookings, the Terms in force at the time of booking will apply to that booking, and any subsequent changes will only apply to future bookings.
16. Governing Law and Jurisdiction
These Terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia. Any disputes arising under or in connection with these Terms will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of New South Wales, Australia.
