How to Apply Your Time Armour Watch Protection Film
Applying a watch protection film correctly makes all the difference between a flawless invisible finish and a film that lifts or bubbles at the edges. At Time Armour, we've engineered our kits to make installation as straightforward as possible, and we've put together a full video walkthrough to guide you through every step.

For a detailed step-by-step breakdown, watch our official installation video above. It covers everything from surface preparation to final pressing, specific to your Time Armour kit.
What's in Your Kit Every Time Armour protection kit includes everything you need for a clean professional install:
- Precision-cut TPU protection film for your exact watch model
- Precision tweezers for accurate alignment
- Microfibre cleaning cloth
- Alcohol preparation wipe
- Spray bottle (used only where wet application is required)
- Plastic backing
- Foam tips for pressing edges and curves
Wet vs Dry Application — What's the Difference? Not all parts of your protection kit are applied the same way. The spray bottle is used selectively only on sections of the film where wet application is needed to allow repositioning and prevent immediate bonding. Other parts of the film are applied dry for a direct, precise fit. Your installation video covers exactly which sections require which method.
Our Wrap-Around Link Design For compatible watch models, Time Armour has engineered a unique wrap-around TPU design for bracelet links. Rather than sitting flat on the surface, the film is designed to wrap around the edges of individual links giving a smoother, more seamless feel on the wrist and significantly reducing the chance of the film peeling at the edges over time.
This design is the result of careful engineering and is exclusive to Time Armour. It's currently available for select watch models.
Pro Tips for a Perfect Install
- Work in a clean, dust-free environment
- Make sure your watch is completely dry before starting
- Don't rush the edge and link sections take your time pressing the film into curves
- If a section lifts within the first 24 hours, gently re-press with a foam tip
- Allow a full 24 hours before wearing to let the film fully bond
Every watch model is a little different — always refer to the installation video for model-specific guidance.
